MUSIC THERAPY

My music therapy practice is rooted in a sensitive and personalized approach, promoting soothing, emotional regulation, stress management, sleep support, and guidance through transitional periods, while also supporting certain illnesses and disorders. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and older people at different stages of life.

Individual or group sessions take place in France, in the offices in Arles and Paris, as well as in Spain, Switzerland, Egypt, the United Kingdom, and India… in the form of workshops, home sessions, corporate settings, medical centers, or online, within an ethical and safe framework that allows presence, support, and transformation.

LabMin-DHM :A research seminar dedicated to the historical developments of music therapy

This research seminar was established in 2023. Led by François-Xavier Vrait, it brings together a multidisciplinary team of clinical professionals with an interest in the history of their discipline, alongside specialists in historical research.

The core team regularly benefits from the expertise of invited researchers, doctoral candidates, historians, and musicologists through seminar sessions and conferences.

Founded in 1980, the French Music Therapy Association (AFM) emerged from a collective of clinicians, music therapists, musicians, and researchers who had been actively involved in music therapy since the early 1970s.

The AFM brings together practitioners who are officially qualified to practice music therapy in the medical, paramedical, psychosocial, psychoeducational, and musical fields.

“The care provided by Capucine is of rare depth and rare humanity. She offered me a link between physical manifestations and their underlying causes. Thanks to her, I avoided a thyroid removal surgery. I feel in safe hands.”

Sandra C.

“Capucine practices music therapy with gentleness and remarkable sensitivity. You can feel her body resonate and the spirit come alive. I wanted to thank her for her beautiful energy and for filling my life with so much beauty.
Her therapy was one of the most meaningful experiences I have ever had. She is a pure light.”

Simone A.

“Welcoming Capucine Demnard into one’s life means looking at oneself with kindness, at the old layers and shells we have carried for a long time, accepting them, and letting music deeply question them so we can better leave them behind. How precious it is to be accompanied in this way.”

William M.
