SOUFFLES

Souffles is an intimate conversation between the body and the breath. Led by dancer and choreographer Michel Raji and contemporary dancer Mila Fernandez, this creation explores the many breaths of life, from the most fragile to the most vibrant. The music opens a poetic and philosophical universe, while selected texts invite reflection on our breathing, our presence, and our relationship to the living world.

 

Stage direction and voice-over are by Jacques Connort. On piano, Raphaël Eligoulachvili engages in dialogue with the sound textures of Capucine Demnard: gongs, quartz bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, and the bansuri flute.

 

Souffles has been presented in various forms—performance and workshop—particularly at Domaine des Clos, as part of Parade Arles, as well as at Les Collatéraux in Arles.
